Malek Jaziri’s brilliant form in TEB BPN Paribas Istanbul Open led him to his fourth career tour level semi final.

Third quarter final match at the Garanti Koza Park witnessed 7th seed Jiri Vesely and Malek Jaziri’s clash. After a tough contest that lasted 1 hour and 55 minutes, Tunisian Jaziri was victorious 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Istanbul Open will be Jaziri’s second last 4 appearance this year in addition to ATP Dubai.

Czech Vesely was the only one who broke his opponent’s serve in the first set that he won 6-3. World number 78 Jaziri missed a set point in his serves at 5-3 but managed to close the set 6-4. In the last set Vesely secured only eight points and Jaziri eventually progressed by 6-1.

34 year-old Jaziri recorded his first win against Vesely in their third meeting thanks to %79 success in his first serves. His next opponent will be 5th seed Paolo Lorenzi or Serbian Laslo Djere in semi final.
