After edging out 2nd seeds in the opening round, Argentine duo Diego Schwartzman and Andres Molteni were comfortable in their second encounter to reach the semifinals at the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open.

Diego Schwartzman and Andres Molteni became the first team to advance to last four in doubles at the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open. Following their upset against 2nd seeds Monroe/Pavin in their opener, Argentines had another good day at the office.

In the first match of Court 2, Schwartzman and Molteni managed to break Aljaz Bedene/Antonio Sancic’s serve four times. It took 68 minutes for South Americans to complete the match 7-5, 6-1 as they are now awaiting for their next opponent in the semis.

There were also two first round encounters in doubles competition. Carlos Berlocq/Teymuraz Gabashvili defeated Koolhof/Middelkoop 7-6, 6-7, 10/4 while Artem Sitak/Marcus Daniell swept past Altuna/Marcan 6-1, 6-4 to set the quarterfinal match-up. Winner of this clash will face Schwartzman/Molteni.
