Homecrowd favorite Tuna Altuna and Italian partner Alessandro Motti had an impressive victory at the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open to advance into the doubles quarterfinals. Altuna/Motti managed to come back from a set and break down to knock out Serbian pairing Dusan Lajovic and Viktor Troicki 4-6, 7-5, 10/4.
After dropping the first set 6-4, Altuna and Motti fell behind 2-4 before grabbing five of last six games to force the match tie-break. Turkish-Italian partnership played the crucial game very solid as they lost only four points to Troicki/Lajovic. The unseeded duo will next face third seeds Jonathan Erlich/Scott Lipsky.
