Australia’s shining star Bernard Tomic joins the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open field. World number 20 will compete at the Garanti Koza Arena between April 25-May 1 as one of the biggest candidates for the title.
Top ranked Kangaroo set a career-high rising up to 17th spot in ATP rankings early this year. At his hometown slam tournament, Tomic advanced to the fourth round before falling to Andy Murray. 23-year-old Aussie also finished runner-up at the ATP 500 event held in Acapulco in February.
Titlist of 2008 Australian Open and 2009 US Open singles in his junior career, Bernie’s best slam result in seniors came up at Wimbledon in 2011 where he reached the last 16.
