8th seed Albert Ramos won the last match of the first day at the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open.

On the fourth and last match of the opening day at the Garanti Koza Arena, there was a clash between two lefties Albert Ramos and Adrian Mannarino. After grabbing the first set in just over an hour, 8th seed Ramos was more comfortable in the second.

World no.57 Ramos managed to complete the game in 1 hour and 45 minutes against Mannarino who is 20 spots behind him. Spaniard, who improved to a 2-1 head-to-head record over Mannarino, will next face the winner of the match between Aljaz Bedene and Karen Khachanov.

Only encounter of Court no.2 brought Dusan Lajovic and qualifier Renzo Olivo together. Defending doubles champion Lajovic (w/Albot) was victorious in straight-sets 7-5, 6-4 where he won %77 of his first serve points.
